Worn in Week: Princess Charlene's Festive Week

Maybe it's not Christmas yet, but in Monaco the festivities have already begun!

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene started the celebrations on December 12th by receiving Monegasque children at The Princely Palace for the annual Christmas Tree event where all kids had fun and received presents.

I just love this event, and every year I love it even more, I mean just think about all these kids and the memories they'll have about meeting the Prince and Princess of their country, plus, we always get the cutest photos from such events!

For this event Princess Charlene wore a new-to-us coat; It's called The Double-Breasted Camel Hair Coat from Akris 2010 fall collection, Here we see it on the runway

When asked an Akris representative about how easy it is for The Princess to get a piece from a previous collection he said that Princess Charlene actually got this coat in 2010!

The coat is military inspired and has a detachable hoodie trimmed with fur. The coat was priced at $5250 then was marked down to $1575 on Saks Fifth Avenue. Now it's sold out!

The description of the coat is:
A military inspired coat in luxurious camel hair with warm goat-fur lined hood.
  • Stand collar
  • Double-breasted front
  • Detachable goat fur-trimmed hood
  • Long sleeves with slit at cuffs
  • Flap pockets
  • Partial lining
  • About 36" from shoulder to hem
  • Camel hair; dry clean
  • Imported
  • Fur origin: China

Charlene was wearing black skinny pants/jeans and a black long turtleneck from Akris Punto. Below we see the brown/garnet version, but it's also available in black on Saks Fifth Avenue for $297 (EGP 1971.49), it was $495 (EGP 3285.82) before sale.

Charlene teamed her look with black boots that were a bit of a mystery to me. In the beginning I thought they were a recycled Jimmy Choo Pair, then found out they weren't so kept searching until I found out that they are from Stuart Weitzman. Princess Charlene might have got them from Stuart Weitzman boutique in Monaco.
The boots are called Takehalf and are available in both black and brown on Stuart Weitzman website for €550

They're described on the website as:

Mid-heel below-the-knee boot in soft nappa leather with elastic back to achieve the perfect fit.
  • Pull on
  • 75 mm heel
  • Leather, Rubber Sole
  • Made in Spain

Although this outfit is in black and beige, I really like it, Her Serene Highness could have worn red, blue, white or purple, but she would just fade with all that red Santa hats around her! This time the awesome beige coat made her visible, while her fuchsia lipstick gave the needed cheerful touch.

Charlene probably owns the same boots in brown, as on the next day December 13th she wore brown boots that resemble that pair so much, since there's only one photo available I can't be sure. That was when Charlene accompanied her husband to attend the inauguration of the new premises of the Medico-Psychological Centre and the Home Therapy Part Time Centre in Monaco.

For that occasion Charlene repeated the pants/skinny-jeans and the turtleneck with a cream Akris cape-style coat, Charlene wore it for the first time in her last visit to South Africa. Charlene finished her look with nude lipstick.

The next Day (December 14th) The Princess Charlene Foundation was officially launched, and few photos were released by the Palace. Charlene donned the same outfit (not sure about the boots) with red lipstick.

I won't comment on the outfit, just because we have a better thing to talk about; Princess Charlene Foundation, Great cause, great foundation and a great video. Watch it here.

On the same day Prince Albert and Princess Charlene visited the Monaco Red Cross School  to distribute Christmas gifts to the children.

Their Serene Highnesses watched a show by the children, then disturbed gifts to all the children. That was another chance for some cute photos, See HERE, HERE and HERE.

But here's one of the cutest photos I've ever seen

Then they went to The Monaco's Red Cross headquarter to distribute gifts to the elderly.
Note that Charlene was wearing a brooch.... Well, it's not actually a brooch, it's the Red Cross pin, but I'll give it a pass as an accessory!

The Princess of Monaco wore an Akris cape with snap closure in black from the fall 2011 collection. Char wore that cape for the first time for The International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo last January.
The coat was available on Saks Fifth Avenue for $5168 but now it's sold out, Here's the brown version of it.

As you may have noticed Charlene opted for leggings just as the model, The model is wearing Akris knit leggings, so maybe Char's were also Akris!

Charlene also wore her Sabella II Two-Tone Riding Boots from Ralph Lauren.

They distributed gifts to many people, and by the end of the day Char's lipstick got a bit messy.

But they still looked as a cute couple

Which is your favorite look from these appearances?
Also, Am I the only one who thinks that Prince Albert is getting more fit since the wedding?
